Multi-award-winning economist and former Oxford and LSE lecturer helping students master complex material, achieve top results, and secure places at the world’s leading universities
Dr Panidha is a highly distinguished economist and educator with over 20 years of teaching and tutoring experience across leading global institutions, including the London School of Economics (LSE), the University of Oxford, and Sciences Po.
Over the course of his career, he has delivered more than 12,000 hours of personalised instruction, supporting students at every level from A-Level to postgraduate study.
He is the recipient of five formal teaching awards at LSE across both the Economics and Management Departments, as well as a student-led teaching excellence award recognising his innovative and highly engaging teaching style. He was also awarded the prestigious single John M. Gunn Scholarship for academic excellence, fully funding his final undergraduate year at Washington and Lee, a top American liberal arts college.
Dr Panidha has held a uniquely wide array of official teaching roles across multiple top institutions, making him suitable to support students of Economics, Management and Finance across all their modules at the undergraduate and graduate level. His official teaching roles at the London School of Economics (LSE) include:
His official tutoring roles at University of Oxford include:
At Sciences Po Dr Panidha designed and lectured the following modules
The above breadth of teaching experiences make Dr Panidha an exclusive tutor to work with, often working with high-net worth international families. One of his former tutees sums it up:
"Revi has the knowledge of an encyclopedia, the patience of an angel and is a joy to work with. He is improving my quantitative skills very fast, and I believe that he is one of the best tutors in Europe. He is worth every penny."
Moreover, his quantitative background has allowed him to tutor modules in computer science (Discrete Mathematics, Foundation of Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Operating Systems, Software Measurement and Testing), statistics and data science (Data mining, Statistics for Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Neural Networks), Finance (Modern Portfolio Theory, Principles of Finance (FM210/FM212), Applied Asset Management) as well as machine learning at undergraduate and graduate level.
Dr Panidha was also directly involved in undergraduate admissions selection at the University of Oxford for many years, including for:
He has additionally taken part in the selection processes for the Columbia–Sciences Po Dual BA programme, giving him rare insight into what top institutions look for in successful applicants.
Dr Panidha’s teaching is known for combining academic rigour with intuitive clarity, helping students understand not just what to do, but why it works. His lessons focus on the exam papers and he makes it a priority to understand the student’s level and come up with a strategy on how to best prepare for exams and projects.
His lessons focus on:
Each session is tailored to the student’s goals, whether that is:
Dr. Panidha has helped students:
Students consistently highlight his ability to make complex topics engaging, intuitive, and intellectually stimulating, while maintaining a clear focus on results.
Is a teacher that is passionate about his subject and makes himself available to students at all times. He is an excellent teacher of the course content. For example, he taught us Game Theory by giving us an interesting history of the subject and then asking us what problems we had with the problem set, before specifically addressing these issues ad clarifying all of our problems. He consistently gets people outside his class attending his classes because he is a quality teacher.
Revi's intelligent use of well-placed questions to engage students and involve them in his explanations removes the abstractness of microeconomics and brings the subject to life. As an applied discipline, this is obviously of huge importance, and Revi's frequent use of "look around you" examples transforms odd, theoretical concepts into simple, intuitive ideas. Whereas the rest of my teachers at LSE use questions arbitrarily without purpose (often slowing the class down, especially as students are reluctant to put their hand up to answer easy questions), Revi has clearly put thought into when, how and what he asks. He also picks out students to answer. I cannot stress how much of a difference this has made. As students, we're all on our toes, we're actually paying attention and when we're thrown a difficult question, we make an effort to answer it (there's no longer a fear of putting your hand up and looking stupid). I would love to go on but the character limit cuts me off...
Even though Revi was not my assigned class teacher, whenever I did attend his classes, he would always go the extra mile to make sure we understood inside out the topic of the class. Wherever possible, Revi would apply what we had learnt to the real world, making every class stimulating and inspirational. His teaching made the course one of my favourites at the LSE , and he made the course a joy to study.
Found classes very useful. Best teacher.
Really like your class and find it very helpful, especially when you use games and real life examples to demonstrate many concepts or questions.
Revi has been a great teacher. Explained all the difficult of the first look problems in a simple manner. The best teacher I’ve had at LSE so far. Keep it up Revi!
He made time to make sure we understand. Nominated for the TOM awards.
Great explanations, I like the learning outcomes at the start.
Thank you for your great teaching techniques.
Classes were extremely interesting, the teacher integrated students very well creating interest and motivation. One of the best teachers I’ve had so far.
He inspires the class and motivates each one to push in more.
Very good at involving class members.
Made subject matter inspirational
Really pushed me to participate in class and kept progress in a relaxed and fun way. Nice examples given to explain theories.
Definitely used last term’s feedback! Best teacher ever! Thank you so much!
Excellent variety of teaching methods which allows students to engage with the course material in a practical way. Also goes beyond the course to ensure students have relevant theories which can be applied in a practical sense. Uses current market issues and structures to teach the theory of industrial economics in a modern-day perspective
Knowing members of the class was helpful since it is not happening in other classes. The clarity of presentation is brilliant. So far, the best teacher at LSE.
